• Want to learn about the brain? I mean, really learn about the brain? Topping out at just over 300 pages, this coloring book for older students is similar to the Anatomy Coloring Book, but more limited in scope. Nine units cover a general introduction to the brain, nervous system function, development of the nervous system, the spinal cord, the brain, cranial nerves, spinal nerves, the visceral nervous system, and support systems of the central nervous system. Each coloring page is accompanied by a page of text on the left-hand side, which contains information about the structures and coloring instructions (in bold). Structures are labeled on the coloring page, and the block text is white, outlined with black, so names can be color-coordinated to the structure in the drawing. Although this book goes into a lot more detail than your average high-school biology or human anatomy course, it would be helpful for anyone taking or planning to take pre-med courses or with a deep interest in brain anatomy. pb. – Jess
