  • Introduction: Emotion is a feeling that can be felt by someone. Emotions
are generally shown through behaviour or facial expressions. Emotions are
important for dental treatment because there is relation between the emotions that

the Facial Expression Emotion Scale (FEES). Results: The results showed that all
respondents aged 4 years old (100%) chose happy emotions, respondents aged 5
years old chose happy emotions 54 times (96,42%) and sad emotions 2 times
(3,57%) as the answers to each questions, while respondents aged 6 years old chose
happy emotions 46 times (46,93%), sad emotions 30 times (30,61%) and fear
emotions 22 times (22,44%) as the answers to each question. None of the
respondents chose the emotion of anger as the answer to the questions that asked
