Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has been lasted for quite a long time has led
to the establishment of service restrictions and the emergence of patient fear to come
to health facilities, so it can lead to a changing trend of patient visits to the Dental
Hospital Padjadjaran University. The aim of the study was to determine the trend of
changes in the number of patient visits and the frequency distribution of
demographic characteristics and patient diagnoses at Dental Hospital Padjadjaran
University during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: The population is secondary
data of new and old patients who visited the general dental clinic, pavilion, and ER
Dental Hospital Padjadjaran University before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This type of research is descriptive longitudinal. Samples obtained by purposive
sampling technique. An assessment was made from patient visits, demographic
characteristics and patient diagnoses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Result: The
number of patient visits at the Dental Hospital Padjadjaran University during the
pandemic was decreased around 60% before the pandemic. The demographics of
patients during the pandemic were adults (26-45 years), female, domiciled in
Bandung City, private employees, Islam, Sundanese ethnicity, unmarried marital
status, and old patient arrival status. The most common diagnosis in the general
dental clinic and ER was pulpitis, but in the pavilion was malocclusion. Conclusion:
