• Introduction: Dentists in Indonesia as health workers have a role to play in improving the quality of life of others, so it is important for dentists to participate in stunting prevention in Indonesia. It is also supported by the fact that stunting is correlated with dental and oral health. A dentist's knowledge and perception about stunting and its prevention affects the success of a dentist's role. It is important for dentists to have adequate knowledge and perception regarding this matter. The purpose of this study was to explore the knowledge and perceptions of stunting and its prevention in dentists in the city of Bandung. Methods: A descriptive study was done to general dental practioners and dental specialists in Bandung. The number of respondents gathered was 76 general practitioners and 30 dental specialists which if added up all together is 106 dentists as the research samples. Data was collected by using a questionnaire about knowledge containing questions that were categorized into 3 dimensions which are knowledge about nutrition, growth and development, and also behavior towards stunting. A perception questionnaire containing questions categorized into 4 dimensions, namely awareness, adoption, implementation, and also maintenance is also used to collect data. The questionnaire was distributed online using Google Form as the media for the questionnaire. A descriptive analysis was then done to the collected data. Results: Analysis of the findings showed that 80.19% of the respondents have good knowledge around stunting and its prevention, 16.98% moderate and 2.83% of the respondents have poor knowledge. As for the perception category, the number of respondents who have positive perceptions are 53.77% while the number of respondents who have negative perceptions are 46.23%. Conclusion: The majority of dentists in the city of Bandung have a good knowledge around stunting and its prevention and have a positive perception towards stunting and its prevention.
