• ABSTRACT The research is based on the background of social phenomenon in maintaining the health. The era and technological development cause the people neglect the healthy life pattern so that it lead to various disease, one of them is stroke. The objective of this research is to understand and to explore deeply the self-meaning self-consept and Therapeutic Communication experience of Medical Rehabilitation employee. This qualitative research uses constructivism paradigm, and phenomenological tradision as well as symbolic interaction theoritical approach and social reality construction. The data have been obtained through deep interviews, observations having a major role and literature to 15 Medical Rehabilitation employees purposively. The analysis techniques are by data reduction, presentation and conclusion. The result of research revealed that self-meaning was obtained trough interpretation and perception subjectively in an interaction conducted by the Medical Rehabilitation employees. So the working ethos as well as the meaning of disease for the Medical Rehabilitation employees. The selfconcept was obtained throgh the interaction among the Medical Rehabilitation employees and patients, _patients' families and fellow colleagues trough activities, the people" treatments to the self and self-feeling. The self-concept of the Medical Rehabilitation employees in handling and uderstanding the caracteristics of patients for their recoveries throgh Therapeutic Communication. The Therapeutic Communication experience was obtained through the interactions of employes ang patients, patients families, fellow colleagues, leader during they work in the circle of Medical Rehabilitation division. It have been obtained the positive and negative experience. The Therapeutic Communication of Medical Rehabilitation employees has a meaning as experience that can be made a lesson in dealing with not only the patients but also the patients" famillies and fellow colleagues. It has been also found that the employee was cosidered as apoint for duing a counseling indicating that the families also join in trouble when their family members experience sickness, Keywords : Medical Rehabilitation, self meaning, self concept, Therapeutic Communications.
